Hammond Caswell Anderson, died as a result of a car accident that killed him and his wife Isabella, on July 3, 1959 on Oregon Trail Rd in a head on accident. Hammond was born June 8, 1895 in Newbury, son of Charles Anderson and Berengera Dalton Caswell. He received hs education in the Newbury Schools, he married Isabelle Mae Briggs on Sept 26, 1916 in East Burke. They lived in East Concord until abt 18 years ago when they moved to Gilman where they have since, he bing an employee of the Gilman Paper co since 1922. The double funeral services was held at the East Concord Methodist church on July 6th, the Rev Frank Watson officiating and Mrs Anne Morton , organist played favorite hymans of the couple. Mr. Anderson is survied by five sisters, Mrs Clara Drew of Jericho, Mrs Bessie Caswell of East Burke, Mrs Maud Foucher ot Utah, Mrs Matilda Gray of Lunenburg and Mrs Bernice Farrow of Walden Heights, plus their three children Mr and Mrs Garold Anderon and family, Mr and Mrs Charles Anderson and family, and Mr. and Mrs Richard Anderson and family; their grandchildren and a host of friends. Burial will be in Lunenburg Cemetery.
