WEBSTER- Alberta H. (Alden) Lague, 80, of 3 Ronnie Drive and formerly of the Athol & Orange area, died at home on Monday morning, October 1, 2007, following an illness.

She was born in Athol on March 9, 1927 and was a daughter of Albert and Hazel (Joslyn) Alden Sr. and grew up in the area. She had worked at the former J. F. MacElwain Shoe Company in Athol.

She was the widow of George Lague. They married in 1944.

Survivors include her brothers, Charles Alden of Orange, Richard Alden and Albert Alden Jr., both of Warwick; sisters, Beverly Alden of Turners Falls, and Evelyn Hurlburt of Orange.

She was predeceased by brothers, Robert, Russell, and Kenneth Alden.

A graveside service will be held Saturday morning at 11:00AM in the North New Salem Cemetery, Fay Road, New Salem. Pastor Julia Daley of the Orange United Methodist Church will officiate.

Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is directing the arrangements.
