Grace grew up in Taberville and lived most of her life in the Rockville, Missouri area, moving to Appleton City in 1969 where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Olive Branch Chapter #157, Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Horace, infant daughter Loretta Fay, son Charles Alexander and two brothers Frank V. and Robert Merchant.
She is survived by her son Fred Alexander of Villa Park, California, four grandchildren Lynn Alexander of Tucson, Arizona, Laura Sandigo of Yuma, Arizona, Craig Alexander of Half Moon Bay, California, Julie Victor of Boston, Massachusetts, and six great grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
