Mrs. Eliza Leach Foley, 70 years old, widow of Charles Foley, died at her home in Danville, Friday evening from a complication of diseases culminating in dropsy. Mrs. Foley was born and raised near Lizton and was the daughter of the late Elias Leach. For several years, she was a prominent school teacher. It was while teaching in Indianapolis, that she met and married Mr. Foley. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Danville which continued to be their home. To them was born one son, Bruce, now of Dayton, Ohio. He was present when his mother passed away. Mrs. David Baker, of Lizton, is an only sister and Mrs. A. N. Bell, of Danville, is a cousin. The funeral, conducted by Rev. Miller, was Sunday afternoon and the body was taken to Crown Hill, Monday, for interment.

Mrs. Foley died Saturday after an illness of several months and her remains were buried at Crown Hill, Monday morning. The funeral services were held at the house Sunday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. A. L. Miller of the M. E. Church. Deceased was 70 years old and she had been a respected citizen of Danville for many years. She was the widow of Chas Foley. One son, Bruce, of Dayton, Ohio survives.
