Paulette graduated from Middleton High School in 1971, before attending Madison Area Technical College. In 1974, Paulette was married to Timothy Berg for 14 years. She was an incredible mother whose life revolved around her children.
Paulette was an excellent cook who loved to prepare daily meals for her family and bake holiday treats for those she loved. Paulette enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and had a deep love for cats, including her two most recent pets, Pookie and Misha.
She will be remembered for her sense of humor, avid joy of shopping and gift giving, and the fact that she poured her heart into everything she did and accepted nothing short of her best.
Paulette is survived by her sons, Jared (Elena) Berg of Sun Prairie, Kristopher Berg of Madison, and Nathan Berg of Madison; her grandchildren, Drew and Noah Berg; her grandmother, Rosalie (Oliva) Tortorici of Waunakee; her step-mother, Donna (Geiger) Tortorici of Verona; her mother, Claudette (Gary) Goth of Mountain View, Calif.; her aunts, Maria (George) Colletti of Middleton, and Patti (Richard) Lehnherr; her uncle, Carmen (Violet) Tortorici of Cottage Grove; and Timothy Berg, the father of her children, of Middleton. Paulette is also survived by many other family and friends whom she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Tortorici; her grandfather, William Tortorici; her grandmother, Mary Fugate; and her aunt, Marilyn Steinman.
Funeral services will be held at the SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, 910 Femrite Drive, on Monday, April 9, 2007, at 1 p.m. with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Madison.
