Lane S. Langsjoen Lane S. Langsjoen , age 86, died June 11, 2004 in Arlington, WA. He lived his entire life in the Silvana and Arlington area. Lane was born January 28, 1918 to Henry and Dora Langsjoen , Stillaguamish Pioneers. Lane was a dairy farmer, a logger and was shop foreman for Snohomish County Road District #1 at the time of his retirement. He was active in forming the Silvana Fire Department and was a volunteer fireman. He also maintained the Silvana Water Co. for many years. Lane was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors. He and his wife enjoyed camping and traveling in their motorhome. The many trips to Alaska and time spent at the cabin in Winthrop these last years were very special to him. He is survived by Lois, his best friend and wife of 59 years; daughter, Joanne and son-in-law John Mattson; sister-in-laws, Betty Bergerson of Crestline, CA, Joan Walen of Graham, WA, and Mary Langsjoen of Arlington; and an extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Irvine Langsjoen ; and sister Myrtle Stensaa. Memorials may be made to the Silvana Fire Department or to a charity of your choice. At his request no services will be held. Burial in Anderson Cemetery, Stanwood, WA. Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood, WA.
