An Obituary from "Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum," Wednesday, September 16, 1998:

Lucille M. (Cooper) Fair of Hewitt died Sept. 10 in a Hewitt nursing home. She was 69.
Funeral services were held Monday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. Mike Toby and the Rev. Luther Townsend officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.
Mrs. Fair was born March 10,1929, in Coryell County near Gatesville.
She attended school in Gatesville and was a licensed beautician. On Jan. 22, 1946, she married J.W. (Dub) Fair in Gatesville. He preceded her in death on March 24, 1991. They owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Belton for many years.
She was a member of the American Business Women's Association in Belton and the First Baptist Church of Woodway.
Survivors include her mother, Lela Cooper of McGregor; a son, Gary Fair of Hewitt; two sisters, Dorothy Drake of China Spring and Belva Boyd of Gatesville; a brother, Howard Cooper of Hewitt; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the First Baptist Church of Woodway.
