Homer Jack Davis, 83, of Kilgore died July 25 at Roy H. Laird Hospital in Kilgore. Services were held July 27 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with John Gardner and Merle Moreland officiating. Burial will be this afternoon (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.
Born May 8, 1905 in Walters, OK, he was the son of the late W.A.T. Davis and Eva Huff. He lived in Coryell County during his youth. He was a retired station engineer for the Exxon Pipeline Co.
He was a member of the Chandler St. Church of Christ in Kilgore.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Grace Davis of Kilgore; one son, Homer A. Davis of Dalhart; one step-daughter, Hazel Gossett of Port Arthur; one step-son, Howard Broadwater of Bay City; four brothers, Hoyt Davis and Harold Davis of Henderson and Pat Davis and Hosea Davis of Kirbyville; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.
