WEBSTER - Marvin Edward Youngblood, a retired master plumber and longtime Fort Worth resident, died Saturday at a nursing home in Webster. He was 85.
Mr. Youngblood was born in Fort Worth, where he lived until moving to Webster, near Houston. He was business agent for the United Association of Plumbers & Steam Fitters Local 146 and an officer of the Texas Buildings Trades Council.
He also was a member of the Southern States Apprenticeship Conference.
Mr. Youngblood was a past president of the Mens Garden Club of Texas and the Chrysanthemum Society of Fort Worth, and he was instrumental in the planning of the Japanese Garden. He was a 42-year member of Sagamore Hill Baptist Church.
