W. M. Pitchford died Tuesday at home, near Buford. Survivors are the following children; John Pitchford of Buford, Walter Pitchford of the Shady Grove Community, Charles Pitchford of Buford, Fred Pitchford of Mountain Home, Roy Pitchford of Batesville, Miss Maud Pitchford, who lived with her father; Mrs Joe Bagwell of Oklahoma and Mrs Will McGallard of Texas. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery. He was Baptist.

Wm. M. Pitchford, born September 12, 1852 in Kentucky, came to Missouri with his parents at age 3. The to Buford over 40 years ago, where he died June 30, 1931. He married Mary L. Smith May 7, 1871, she died 37 years ago. They had twelve children, six boys and six girls, two died in infancy. He is survived by eight children, five boys and three girls. All were present except Mrs Lina McGilliard of Texas and Mrs Flora Bagwell of Oklahoma.
