"MRS. BERTHA LAWRENCE. -- Mrs. Bertha Lawrence (nee Armistead), departed this life on December 1, 1938 at the St. Francis Hospital at Washington.
She leaves a bereaved husband, Allen J. Lawrence, and eight children, four boys and four girls to mourn her loss.
She was laid to rest in the Stanton Cemetery Saturday afternoon Rev. R. O. Miller, officiated at the church."
