James Robert Burnett, 71, of Winslow died Sunday, November 22, 2009 at his home.

He was born April 8, 1938 at Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Robert McKinley and Anna Howard Burnett.

He was retired from Standard Register Company and was a farmer. He was a life-long member of the Boston Mountain Fellowship Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Burnett in 2000; two brothers, Merle Burnett and Bill Burnett.

He is survived by three sons: Destry Burnett and his wife, Shannon of Winslow Darrin Burnett and his wife, Patty of Winslow Eric Burnett and his wife, Diana of Winslow One daughter: Regina Lopez and her husband, Eli of Stockton, Calif. Three sisters: Katherine Burnett of Altus, AR Virginia Harp and her husband, Arlow of Farmington Betty Duffy of Farmington Twelve grandchildren

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, at the Winslow Gymnasium under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Burial will be in the Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel.
