ATHOL- Howard J. Goulette Sr., 80, of 188 North Orange Road, died on Monday afternoon, August 4, 2008 at the Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol, following an illness.
Born on April 12, 1928 in Athol, he was a son of Donald and Gladys Goulette and grew up in Athol.
He was married to Jeanette M. (Hurley) in 1950 and they had enjoyed 56 years together at the time of her death on May 23, 2006.
Howard did woodworking for Pilgrim Factory for many years.
He is survived by his sons, William Goulette, and his fiancee Faith Borgatti, of Orange, Donald Goulette and his wife, Denise, of Winchendon, and Howard Goulette Jr., of Hadley; a daughter, Nancy Giddings of Keystone, Florida; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; sisters, Rosie Pratt of Orange and Marian Maillet of Florida
Besides his wife, Jeanette, Howard was predeceased by a son, Roger Goulette on April 10, 1990 and a brother, Raymond Goulette
Calling hours will be held on Friday morning, August 8, 2008 from 9:00-11:00AM at Witty's Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange.
A Funeral service will be held on Friday morning, August 8th at 11:00AM at Witty's Funeral Home in Orange. Interment will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol
