Yvonne (Gentry) Barker, 70, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Yvonne was born in Spencer, Indiana, and moved to Evansville in the early 1970s. She was employed at St. Mary's Medical Center for over 30 years as a nursing assistant. Yvonne was a member of Bethel United Pentecostal Church.
Yvonne is survived by a son, Chris Barker of Evansville; son, Eric Barker of Evansville; daughter, Lee Ann Hallman; mother, Opal Gentry of Spencer, Ind.; brother, Clovis Gentry and his wife, Pat, of Spencer; grandchildren, Aaron Barker, Daniel Barker, Katie Barker, Morgan Barker, Lindsey Martinez, Erica Lynn Hallman and Robert Lee Hallman; and great-granddaughter, Ava Stallings.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Gentry.
Funeral services noon Monday, December 28, 2009, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor Mark Brewer officiating.
Burial will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery.
