Charles D. Hulbert, 67, Winterset, died of colitis on Nov. 9, 1995 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were Nov. 13 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. Don Frank officiated the services and burial was at the North McDonald Cemetery in Madison County.

He was born in Madison County on March 17, 1928 to William and Dora (Hermon) Hulbert. He married Shirley Hendricks on May 21, 1950 in Leon. He was a retired grain inspector, having worked for Madison County ASC office for 25 years. He was a lifetime resident of Madison County and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving relatives include his mother, his wife; one son, David Hulbert and wife Marlene of Martensdale, one daughter, Diane Robbins and husband Jon of Patterson; three sisters, Marjorie Weeks of Winterset, Amanda Wren of Des Moines, and Mary Lou Foley of Peru; one aunt, Mary Rhodes of Winterset; and two grandchildren.
