MRS. LOIS CORN BLACK, 89, of Huntington, W.Va., died Friday, July 9, 2004, in Grafton City Hospital. Graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2004, at Woodmere Memorial Park's Abbey of Remembrance, Huntington, by the Rev. Harold White. Burial will follow. Lois was born October 28, 1914, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Ernest and Muriel Fern Hawkins Corn. She was a member of the Sixth Avenue Church Of Christ, Huntington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Black and two sisters, Ida Mae Corn Hickman and Mildred Corn Cartwright. Survivors include one cousin, Doris Martin of Jasper, Ga., and a brother-in-law, William T. Hickman of Dunbar, W.Va. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, from 10 until 10:45 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2004.
