Retired C. & O. Engineer Dies

Bernard Clathworthy, 70, retired Chesapeake and Ohio Railway engineer, died Saturday in the C. & O. hospital in Huntington after a long illness.

Mr. Clathworthy lived in Logan. He was with the railroad 53 years and was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.

Mr. Clathworthy was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Coal Valley Lodge 74, AF&AM, in Montgomery and Beni Kedem Temple in Charleston.

Surviving are his wife, Lennie; five sons, James of Richland, Wash., George, Joe and Frank, all of St. Albans, and John of Belle; and two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Arrington and Mrs. Lula Beckett, both of St. Albans.

The body is at Harris mortuary in Logan.
