LOGAN: Violet Mae Carpenter, 89, of Logan, Ohio, passed away December 10, 2009, in Hocking Valley Community Hospital.

She was born November 28, 1920, in Hocking County, daughter of the late Harry and Martha (Brown) Brooks. She was the widow of the late Richard E. Carpenter and a member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Logan.
Her love flowed like a river-never-ending.

Violet is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Jim) Helber of Logan; grandchildren, Jennifer Leanne (William Jr.) Hoag of
Nelsonville, Ohio and Tamara Joann Helber of Logan; great-grandchildren, Klarysea, Joanne Helber and Hannah Marie Hoag.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Brooks; and a sister, Goldie Blum.

Funeral services are at 2 p.m., Tuesday in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 East Hunter Street, Logan, with the Rev. Mark Daniels officiating.

Interment wil be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
