I have done some more research and found that Adolphus D. Waldrop was married first to Mary A. ? and they had 5 children. It appears that she died between 1900 and 1905, because he had a new wife listed in the 1910 Lafayette County, MS census. Her name was Susan M. ?, they had been married for 5 yrs. and had 3 small children. In the 1920 Lafayette County census he is listed as a widower, with 4 children and a step-son. I can't find where either of the wives are buried.
Suggested edit: Marriage #1 11 Mar 1866 • Macon, North Carolina TO Mary A (mWaldrop) Southards (1844–1902)

Marriage #2 1905 • Calhoun County, MS TO Susan M (mPhillips, Waldrop) McClellan (1880–1915)
