"Abraham Rieser Pottery Moselem, Perry Township, Berks County. This pottery was built about 1832 by Abraham Rieser (1799-1859) who was not a potter but employed a German potter to operate it for him. Later the German taught the trade to Peter S. Rieser (1826-1898) who continued the pottery after his father. From "The Historical Review of Berks County January 1937 edition."
