George Milon Tucker, 75, of 279 Shade Murphy Road, died Tuesday Sept 5, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept 7, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Elders C. A. Blanton, E. Carlton and R. McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Son of the late Nora Smithwick Tucker and the late, W. W. "Bud" Tucker, Mr. Tucker was born in Colquitt County on Feb. 25, 1920. He was retired from Peachtree Housing, was a member of Bridge Creek Primitive Baptist Church and an Army World War II Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Etheleen Strickland Tucker, a daughter, Janice Tucker Poole, Moultrie, two sons-in-law, Larry Abercrombie, Moultrie and Robin Poole, Atlanta; three brothers, Floyd Tucker, Hartsfield, Wilburn Tucker, Columbus and Bennett Tucker, Moultrie; a sister, Willa Dean Taylor, Moultrie, a granddaughter, Susan Abercrombie Davis, Duluth. Visitation will be from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
