Forest C. Felger, age 87, formerly of Arcola, IN passed away at 7:25 pm Friday, January 23, 2009 at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne, IN. Born on May 31, 1921 in Lake Township, Allen County, IN, he was the son of J. Alfred and Flavia (DePoy) Felger.

He lived at the same residence his entire life and graduated from Arcola High School with the Class of 1939. In 1948 he married Mary Jane Scott in Fort Wayne, IN and on May 6, 1961, he married Marjorie E. Habegger in Berne, IN. He was a farmer his entire life and a devoted Christian husband and father. He was a member of the Dunfee Missionary Church, Dunfee, IN where he served as Chairman of the Board for over 17 years and long-time Sunday School Teacher and was also a member of the Arcola Lions Club.

Survivors include his 7 children, Charles (Melody) Felger, Fort Wayne, IN, Max (Linda) Felger, Arcola, IN, Ruth (Charles) White of Willshire, OH, Mark (Ann) Felger of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary (Fred) Whitehurst of Berne, IN, Larry (Bonnie) Habegger of Kokomo, IN, Ruth (Gray) Cox of Maryville, MO, 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary Jane Felger, who passed away on April 2, 1951, his second wife, Marjorie E. Felger, on December 24, 2005; 5 sisters, Hattie Auld, Ella Krauskopf, Mary Felger, Agnes Becher and Viola Felger and 2 brothers, Frank and Charles Felger.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Rowe of the Dunfee Missionary Church, officiating with burial following at Eel River Cemetery, Carroll Road, rural Allen County. Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Felger to Dunfee Missionary Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
