FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Mrs. Gertrude Meyerhoffer Cabell, 88, was held Sunday at 4 p.m. in Franklin Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Joseph A. Slane. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with Wright Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were: Vaughan Beale, John Brenner, Herman Bradshaw, Odell Alcott, Bob Meyerhoffer and Jim Cooley.
Mrs. Cabell died Friday in East Pavilion of Southampton Memorial Hospital.
A native of Mount Meridian, Augusta County, she was the widow of P.A. Cabell.
She was a charter member of Franklin Presbyterian Church and a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a retired registered nurse.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Cabell Bridges; a son, Judge R. Baird Cabell, both of Franklin; six grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
