James Everette Aides Sr., 87, born in Milledgeville, GA, passed away September 21, 2003. He retired from Dillard Smith Electrical Construction Company as Vice President in 1980. Mr. Aides was also an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Navy Seabees. He was a member of Mandarin United Methodist Church, the Morocco Temple, a member of Scottish Rites and Masonic Barnett Lodge #187. Mr. Aides is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty (Daisy Mae) Medford; sons, James E. Aides Jr, and Thomas H. Aides; daughter, Katie M. Burkit (Bill); sister, Eunice Simmons; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at HARDAGE- GIDDENS MANDARIN FUNERAL HOME, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Interment will follow in Oak l awn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, the 24th, at 10 a.m. 1 hour prior to service time at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cripple Childrens Hospital, Morocco Temple, P.O. Box 16039, Jacksonville, FL. 32245
