Theodore C. Mayers of Decatur died at 10:15 Monday night at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Mayers, eight miles northeast of Decatur. He was twenty-three years old. His death was caused by inflammation of the bowels, after an illness of two weeks.
Mr. Mayers was employed at the Leader Iron Works and remained at work until he was taken ill. Then he went to the home of his parents. His home was at 1233 East Hickory street.
Besides his parents he is survived by his wife and one small daughter, Helen Lucile Mayers.
The funeral will be held some time Thursday. The interment will be in North Fork cemetery.
