AGED RESIDENT OF DECATUR IS DEAD-Mrs. Nancy Lichtenberger Ill for Years-Mrs. Nancy Lichtenberger, wife of Henry Lichtenberger of 319 East King street, died at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Likens, 1105 West Riverview avenue. She was seventy-four years old in January. Her death was caused by diabetes with which she had suffered for several years. Mrs. Lichtenberger's maiden name was Nancy Garver. She was born Jan 10, 1853. Nearly all her life was spent in Long Creek township, where she was widely known. She moved to Decatur several years ago. She was the oldest daughter of the late D. W. and Mary Garver. ACTIVE IN CHURCH-She was a member of Grace Methodist church and was regular in her attendance as long as the condition of her health permitted. Besides her husband she is survived by six daughters and one son: Mrs. Charles Scott, Mrs. Charles Likens and Mrs. William Woomer, all of Decatur, Mrs. R. B. Davis of Mt. Zion, Mrs. Arlie Bowers of Belleville, Kan., and Earl Lichtenberger of Decatur. One son preceded her in death. There are eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She also leaves the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Hugh Ruddock of Hammond, Mrs. William Barnett and Mrs. Dick Shutter of Decatur, Mrs. Sidney Phillips of Taylorville, Robert Garver and Jesse Garver of Mason City. The body was removed to Dawson & Wikoff, funeral directors, and prepared for burial. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the North Fork church. The burial will be in the North Fork cemetery.
