Emanuel Schultheiss, age 76, a resident of Hamilton for 53 years, died at 11:10pm Tuesday at Mercy Hospital. His wife, Mrs. Kunigunda Schultheiss (nee Haderlein) preceded him in death 37 years ago, and a son, Charles, died 14 years ago.

Mr. Schultheiss, a carpenter, was one of the best-known citizens of Hamilton. He was a member of St. Johns's Church and treasurer of the Deutscher Order of Harugari, Local No. 675.

Surviving are three sons, Emanuel Jr.,of Monroe, and Walter and Daniel, of Hamilton; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Mayer, of Hamilton, Mrs. Thomas Buckner, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Fred Meinberg, of Springfield; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and a large number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday from the Klaus Funeral Home, F Street, and Elvin Avenue, Rev. F. C. Kuether, pastor of St. John's Church, officiating. Burial, Greenwood. Friends may call at the funeral home afternoon Thursday.
