Agnes was born in New Albany, Pa., on April 22, 1905 daughter of the late Rush and Tilla Bender Davis. She graduated from the New Albany High School and with her sister the late Edna Sullivan, worked in the M. Brink and Sons Grocery Store and Gift Shop for 15 years. She and Edna purchased the store and changed the name to E and A's Grocery and Gift Shop which they operated for 33 years until retiring in 1971. Agnes lived in New Albany her entire life, and was a resident of the Sayre House since Feb. 12, 1996.
Agnes married Judston D. Allen on July 8, 1964 and he predeceased her on June 14, 1973.
Agnes was a member of the American Baptist Church in New Albany.
Surviving are daughters, Jane Fulkrod and Norma Kobbe, both of Binghamton, N. Y.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren and three cousins.
She was predeceased by a son, Clifford Allen, and her sister, Edna Sullivan.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, Feb 15, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dushore, Pa., with the Rev. Ronald Troup, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, New Albany.
