Mrs. Mary Smith, age 79, passed away at United Memorial Hospital, Greenville, on March 27, 1961 after an illness of one week. She was born at Marshalltown, Iowa August 22, 1881 and lived in Greenville for the past 6 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Stanton. In 1902 she married Peter H. Smith who preceeded her in death on June 21, 1959. Three daughters also preceeded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Clare Rasmussen, Greenville, seven sons: Hans, Martin and John of Stanton, Neils and Charles of Grand Rapids, Albert of Greenville, and Alan of Cedar Springs, Three sisters: Mrs. Abigail Beernstrup, Blair, Nebraska; Mrs. Dorothy Dolan, Freemont, Nebraska and Mrs. Bertha Lischer, Los Angeles, Calif., two brothers: Christian Hansen, Blair, Nebraska and Albert Hansen, Fremont, Nebraska.

She is also survived by 22 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 1961 at 3:00 p.m. at the Connolley Funeral Home in Stanton. The Rev. Albert A. Trembert will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
