Major Cornelius Taken By Death
Funeral services were held Thursday at Pleasant Grove for General Major Cornelius, who died Wednesday at his home here.
Mr Cornelius, a World war 1 veteran, was 57 years old. He had been in ill health a number of years and had quit the butchering and farming that he had formerly followed.
Rev Bob Isdell conducted the service with Drinkard's directing.
Mr Cornelius is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eleanor V Cornelius; two daughters, Roselle and Hollis Joe; three brothers, Elisha, Zora and Burley; five sisters, Lilly Samson, Albertville 4; Vinie Daulton, Guntersville; Belle Samson, Albertville 4; and twins Amie Blackmon and Mamie Lawson of Arab 1.
