HARPER - Josephine E. Schmidt, 91, died Dec. 19, 2009, in Harper. She was born Sept. 23, 1918, to Joseph and Nora Mast Naffziger.
On Oct. 6, 1946, she married Walter Schmidt. He preceded her in death. Survivors include: a son, Roger, Garden City; daughters, Rosemary King, Paola, Linda McClure, Clearwater, and Phyllis Shirk, Woodland Park, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crystal Springs Mennonite Church. Visitation was from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Harper. Burial will be in Crystal Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Harper Hospital, or the church, in care of the funeral home.
