BARDSTOWN - HUMKEY, LARRY, 56, died Monday, December 15, 2008. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday, St. Gregory Church. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, after 10 a.m. Wednesday, Mann and Greenwell.

LARRY HUMKEY, 56, Elkhart, Ind., died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at his brother's residence. He was born June 27, 1952, in Lebanon. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Cambridge City, Ind., and attended Ball State University for three years. He was employed as a receiving manager for Statewide Aluminum Company in Elkhart and was a member of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Raymond Humkey, Sr. and a brother, Dan Humkey. Survivors include his mother, Jean Humkey, Bardstown; five brothers, Joe Humkey, Indianapolis, Don Humkey, Franklin, Tenn., Tommy Humkey and Pat Humkey, both of Bardstown, and Bobby Humkey, Brunswick, Ga.; and eight nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Church with burial in St. Gregory Cemetery. The Rev. John Schwartzlose will officiate. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday including an evening prayer service and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Nelson County or The American Cancer Society. Mann and Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
