Services for George A. Kemp, 98, who died Friday afternoon in his residence at 1763 Cotton St., will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The Rev. Frank E. Reynolds will officiate in the J.E. Lutz, Jr., Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
Born in Reading, a son of the late Martin and Mary (Beatencup) Kemp, he had been employed in the street department by the City of Reading before retiring.
Preceded in death on Feb. 21, 1943, by his wife, Gertrude E. (Bobst) Kemp, he is survived by two sons: Samuel and Martin, both of Reading.
Two daughters: Florence I., wife of Edwin Edmond, and Dorothy M., widow of James M. Castner, both of Reading, and 18 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren. (Reading Eagle, 28 July 1973, p. 14, col. 1)
