Marion Miller Aaron, 87, formerly of Darling Street in Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at her home in Miners Mills.
Born Jan. 27, 1922, she was a daughter of the late George and Laura Durkin Miller.
Marion's life revolved around her family and the joy she found in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Aaron was a member of the Catholic Community of North Wilkes-Barre.
Marion married the love of her life, James Robert Aaron on Sept. 26, 1941 and celebrated 63 years of marriage with him before he died on Nov. 2, 2004. Her son, James Aaron Jr.; a great-grandson, James Robert Howe; sisters, Rose Dressler and Helen Hill; and brothers, George, Francis and Thomas Miller, also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Ellen and her husband, Ronald Tirko, Miners Mills; grandchildren, Deborah and her husband, Frank Mazzarella, Denise Donovan, James III and his wife, Leah Aaron, Danielle and her husband, Arthur Sims, Deanna Aaron, Ronald Tirko Jr., Timothy Tirko and Angela and her husband, Mike McCord; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Marion's life will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from McLaughlin's Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Church of St. Stanislaus Kostka. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
