Jo Beth Stephenson, 82, of Plainview died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, in Lockney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at College Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Robertson officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, Texas, under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
Mrs. Stephenson was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Carbon, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Odell Dobbins, Howard Thurman Tooke, Robert Paul Whitten and Jim Stephenson.
She is survived by four daughters, Venita Butler and her husband, Dennis, and Lonella Spruill and her husband, Jimmie, all of Plainview, Christi Clark and her husband, David, of Jacksonville, Texas, and Jean DeForest and her husband, Pete, of Traverse City, Mich.; three sons, James Truman Dobbins and his wife, Beckie, of Livingston, Texas, Dean Tooke and his wife, Donna, of Houston, and Howard Tooke of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one brother, William Dean Allen of Copperas Cove, Texas; a sister-in-law, Helen Tooke of El Paso, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
