In the Geneanet Community Trees Index it shows Noah was born in 1758, in Brocks Gap, Augusta, Virginia, USA. It also shows his last name as Custer.

Previously, I received a request to show Noah being the son of Arnold rather than the son of Conrad. I reviewed the genealogy information that is available on-line and again concluded it is difficult to really determine the fact. Maybe DNA testing will provide a definite answer.
However, my review did find various trees describing Arnold as the father of Noah. So, I have decided to honor the edit request and have now changed this memorial to show Noah being the son of Arnold.

Based on census data Noah Castor was born between 1755 and 1765 in Virginia. Haine's History of Hamilton County, Indiana states that Noah was "one of thirty children born to Conrad Castor, who lived at Brock's Gap, Virginia." However, Noah may have been a son of Arnold, which would make Noah a grandson of Conrad. Noah could have been a ward of Conrad after Arnold died.

Noah married Rebecca Matheny around 1785 in Virginia.
Sometime after Noah died, Rebecca went to Hamilton County, Indiana to live with Frederick and Nancy Harger. She died 22 August 1848 and was buried at the Prairie Baptist Church Cemetery.
