He was born in Seneca and was a son of the late Carl Brook and Nina Bearden Bryson. Mr. Bryson retired from Milliken Corporation as an electrician after 34 years of service. He was a US Army veteran of WWII receiving the Good Conduct and Expert Marksman and Sharp Shooters medals. Mr. Bryson was a member of the Bellview Baptist Church and was a former Royal Ambassador Leader and Sunday school teacher.
Surviving are his wife, Edith Ramsey Bryson of the home; two sons, Rev. Phil Bryson and wife, Sheila of Mountville and Ronald E. Bryson of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Ernest E. Bryson of Blacksburg; three grandchildren, Ronald Benjamin Bryson of Santa Fe, NM, Adrian Bryson Krause and husband, David of Marion, NC, and Christian Bryson Le and husband, Michael of Columbia.
