Virginia Mosteller died Monday, November 23 at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, Kansas.
Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, at Ward Funeral Home, Washington.
There will be no visitation.
Burial: Washington City Cemetery, Washington.

Virginia L. Frager Mosteller was born September 3, 1916 northeast of Morrowville Kansas and passed away on November 23, 2009 at the Linn Community Nursing Home, Linn, Kansas at the age of 93 years, 2 months, 20 days.
Virginia was the eldest child of Raymond R. and Grace M. (Mayberry) Frager. She was raised in the Dewey community and graduated from Morrowville Rural High School in 1934. She taught in the Washington County school system for 2 years. On April 28, 1936, she was married to Arlen Wayne Mosteller in Manhattan, KS.
They moved to the home place south of Washington at his father's death in 1940, where Arlen was born, raised and died.
A son, Charles Wayne Mosteller, came to them in February 1954 at the age of 9 years old.
Virginia gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of the Morrowville Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School classes for several years.
In 1946, she transferred her membership to the First Presbyterian Church at Washington, KS, where she was an active member for the rest of her life. Virginia was ordained as Elder of the church, a parish council member of the Little Blue Valley Parish for several years. She became a member of the Eastern Star Order in 1950, where she was installed as an officer in December of 1950 and held an active office for 40 years. She was Chapter Secretary for 20 years, from. 1969-1989. Virginia was a charter member of the Victoryette Extension. Unit, where she was active all through the years.
Following her husband's death, she worked at the Homestead Nursing Home for four years, as secretary for Washington Vet Clinic for 11 years until she retired for health reasons. In 1978 Virginia moved from her farm home into a new home she designed in Washington, KS where she enjoyed doing yard work, keeping her new home and the antiques she and Arlen had acquired.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Grace (Mayberry) Frager; husband, Arlen Wayne Mosteller; and brother, William Frager.
She is survived by her son, Charles and wife, Martha Washington, Kansas, two granddaughters, Wanda Rene' Buckland and husband, Preston, Junction City, Kansas; Dr. Carla J. Mosteller and husband Christopher, Wichita, Kansas, two great grandchildren, Emily Grace Buckland and Nathan Steele Buckland, Junction City Kansas, a sister, Eilene Cox and husband, Dean, Haddam, Kansas, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
