Tony Joseph Padilla, 80, died Monday night at his residence. A native of Key West, he had been a resident of Lee County for the past 70 years. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. S. Dooley and Mrs. Jesse J. wilson, both of Fort Myers; four sons, John L. Padilla, Eli J. Padilla, Walter A. Padilla and James E. Padilla, all of Fort Myers; 23 grandchidlren and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services at the McQueen & Young chapel with Father Sennett officiating. Pallbearers will be Corbett Levers, Seth Tooke, Jesse Padilla, A. L. Padilla, Roy Padilla, William Padilla and Edward Dooley. (Fort Myers News-Press, 2/14/1951)
