My wonderful friend, Jackie, who was like a sister, left this world much too soon. I miss her very much.

Jacqueline Sue Gurwell, 72 , of Prospect passed away Thursday. She was a Registered Nurse last working at Charter Hospital of Louisville. She was a Navy Veteran and a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Barrad M. Gurwell; four children, Suzanne Scott, Julie Gurwell (Shawn Caudill), Karen Lutz (Scott) and Chris Gurwell (Tracy); three brothers, Bill Hurley of Portsmouth, OH, Tony Hurley (Phyllis) of Nicholasville, KY and Tom Hurley of Portsmouth, OH and Eight Grandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 1395 Girard Drive.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m Monday in the parlor of Arch L. Heady & Son, 7410 Westport Road.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Louisville Humane Society.
