Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Wharton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale – Downtown location with Reverend Don Duplechain officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. Wharton, 75, of Oakdale entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 17, 2009 in her residence with her family near her side.
Annie was a member of the Oakdale Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Rayford Wharton; her parents, Ralph, Sr. and Caroline McGuire; one brother, Ralph Lymann McGuire, Jr. and one sister, Caroline Louise McGuire. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her two sons, Johnny "Mac" Ralph Wharton of Oakdale and Steven Keith Wharton and his wife, Melissa of Alexandria; one brother, Gerald Wayne McGuire of Pensacola, Florida; three sisters, Janice Brandt of Shreveport, Frances Batch of Austin, Texas and Alinda Rettig of Pensacola, Florida and four grandchildren, T. J. Wharton, Mary Beth Wharton, Sarah Wharton and Rachel Wharton.
