Marguriete Dickerson, 93, of Colmesneil, passed away February 27, 2010. Born November 15, 1916 in Colmesneil, Texas to Ben F and Elnora Orton DuBose, where she lived all her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of the Rocky Springs Baptist Church.
Marguriete was preceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy C Dickerson; brothers, Leslie DuBose; Bennie DuBose, Jr; and Archie DuBose. She is survived by her son, Bobby Joe Dickerson and wife, Dell of Orange; daughter, Delphia Jean Salmons of Colmesneil; sisters, Erma DuBose and Pauline Reid, both of Jasper; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday at 2:00 PM at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Linwood Dykes officiating. Burial followed at Carter Cemetery in Colmesneil.
Visitation was held Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers were, John Dickerson; Calvin Williams; Jamie Williams; Joe Ard; Jamie Pittman and Swain Barker. Serveing as honorary pallbearer was Cullen Barker.
Service held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
