Daughter of Matthew Jack b 1807 Buffalo Twp, Armstrong County, Pa d 1875 in South Buffalo Twp, Armstrong County, Pa and Catherine (Fry) Jack b 1817 d 1852.

Granddaughter of James Jack b 1760 d 1850 and Martha "Mattie" (Morrison) Jack b 1770 d between 1840 and 1850.

Obit:
Mary Jane (Jack) Bowers, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. R. Ellenberger, of Karns City. Occured the death of Mary Janes Bowers at the age of 77. One of the most highly respected residents of Greece City. At 6 o'clock Monday Evening her taking away followed an illness lasting about a year. The funeral will be held at Greece City Thursday. Service will be held at the family residence at 1pm and internment will be made at Concord Church. Services at the church will start at 2 o'clock. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Greece City and had resided in that district all her life. She leaves her husband Henry Bowers, 3 sons Charles of Boydstown, John of Karn City, George of New Lexington, Ohio, and 4 daughters. Mrs. Thomas Blair of Washington, PA. Mrs. Henry Clark of Butler, Mrs. P. R. Ellenberger of Karns City, and Mrs. C. F. Bowers of New Lexington, Ohio. Also 22 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
