Final Rites for Pfc. Hubert W. Ange
will be held Next Wednesday At Jackson Cemetery

"Thelma Heath Ange, of Tarboro, widow of Pfc. Hubert W. Ange, of Plymouth, who was killed in action somewhere in Italy on March 1, 1944, has recieved word that his body will arrive in Tarboro tuesday from an overseas cemetery.
---final rites held Wednesday at 3 o'clock in the Jackson Cemetery.--
Private Ange was the fourteenth county man to be killed or missing in the service of his country and is the sixth to be returned from an overseas cemetery for final internment.
Son of the late Charlie w. and Mamie Browning Ange, of Washington County. Private Ange was born in the county on Novembe 9, 1912 and lived here all his life until he entered the Army on May 14, 1942.
His mother died when he was about 12 years old; and his fathe died two years later. He lived with relatives in the Long Ridge and Long Acre sections, until he was old enough to take care of himself.
For four years preceeding his entrance into the Army he was employed at the pulp mill and lived with W. F. Ange on the Long Ridge Road. He was a regular attendant at the Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church.---
Mr. Ange married Thelma Heath, of Tarboro, after entering the service. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Ruth Ange of Tarbora; three sisters, Mrs. Isobell Mason, Mrs. Lula Quincy and Miss. Mamie Ange, all of Tarboro; three brothers, Robert Ange of New Bern, Charlie Ange of Wilminton and Oscar Ange of Baltimore, Md."
