Sara Rae Adams, 92, a guest at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center, passed away Saturday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville.
A former resident of West Main Street, Ringtown, she was born in Numidia on Oct. 24, 1913, and was a daughter of the late Bert and Iva Wagner Beaver.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Ringtown. She enjoyed spending time sewing and quilting.
She was retired, having worked as a machine operator at the former Yankee Plastics, Ringtown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Adams, in 1965; a son, Thomas, in 1993; two sisters, Eva and Lois; and a brother, Orville.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice, wife of Thomas Hoffman, Ringtown, and Cheryl, wife of Terry Smith, Westminster, Md.; a sister, Pauline Titel, Bloomsburg; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Stauffer-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ringtown, with Pastor Craig Zimmerman officiating. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Old White Church Cemetery, Ringtown.
