GREENWOOD - Sherman A. Dearth, Jr. passed away April 28, 2016 at Milford Memorial Hospital. He was born in Burrsville on Dec. 6, 1925, to the late Sherman Sr, and Edna Dearth. Sherman was a truck driver for most of his life, working for Reed Trucking and Cargill where he retired. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Joan; sister, Virginia; brother, Wallis; and son, Terry. He is survived by his wife, Lidija; a brother, Bill Dearth; his children, Barbara Negron, Linda Pechin, Jerry Dearth, Connie Dearth and Karen Countryman; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a few great-great-grandchildren. A special thanks to his caregivers, Alyse Caldwell and David Krouse, Jr., for the care they gave during the last year of his life. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St, Greenwood, DE 19950; viewing will be held one hour prior.
