OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Marcella P. Burnsworth, 75, Wabash, died at 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at her home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Wabash County to Arthur and Elsie (Snowberger) Scott. She married John N. Burnsworth on Feb. 16, 1951, in Elkhart and he survives.

Mrs. Burnsworth was a crossing guard for the City of Wabash for 30 years. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is also survived by a son, John S. (Tammy) Burnsworth, Wabash; a daughter, Gaye (Mike) Kerschner, Carmel; five grandchildren, Josh (Meggie) Dials, Indianapolis, Nick Dials, Wabash, Jordan Burnsworth, Wabash, Jenna Kerschner, Carmel, and Adam Kerschner, Carmel; a sister, Loretta Wrench, Muncie; two brothers, Larry (Lois) Scott, Leesburg, and Ronnie Scott, Plymouth.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash Chapel, 1241 Manchester Ave., with Pastor Chris Madison officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at the funeral home.
