OSAGE BEACH, Mo. -- John Waits, 72, Osage Beach, Mo., formerly of Kokomo, Indiana, died Thursday morning, May 4, 1978, in Lake of the Ozarks General Hospital, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri.
Born June 5, 1905, he was the son of Jacob (Mason) and Josephine Waits. He was married to Ruth Livingston who died in 1968. He later married Myrtle Foust, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II and had operated a campground.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lois Morris of Kokomo; a stepson Harry Bougher of California; four step-daughters, Mildred Mulke and Sarah Barnes, both of Indianapolis; and Gladys Foust and Reba Miller, both of California; and 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fenn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
