Born July 11, 1891, he was the son of Elmer and Rosa (Perkins) Denman. He had spent most of his lifetime in Kokomo.

In 1915 he was married to Marie Rioth, who preceded him in death in 1928. Then, in 1930 he was united in marriage with Margaret Hershey. Later in 1933, he was married to Lola Wagner.

He had been an employee of the former Apperson Brothers Automobile Company here and later by the Grief Brothers Cooperage.

Surviving are three sons, Wilber H. Denman, Indianapolis; Elmer S. Denman, Kokomo, and Richard A. Denman, Las Vegas, NV; three daughters, Mrs. Wanita Hale, Kokomo; Mrs. Fredrick (Betty) Snyder, Somerset, and Mrs. Burk (Wilma) Munson, Pine Village; a half-brother, Howard West, and a half-sister, Mrs. Rena (West)Shackelford, both of Kokomo; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother are deceased.
