Funeral for Elizabeth Adair, 88, of Moulton will be today, December 16, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Moulton Church of Christ with Bro. Hoyt Nelson and Bro. Bill Becker officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Adair, who died Monday, December 14, 2009, was born April 28, 1921, in Lawrence County to Harvey Chapman and Lucy Mae Burch Armor. Elizabeth was a January 1940 graduate of Lawrence County High School and attended Massey Business College in Birmingham. She was program assistant with the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Services in Moulton and retired with over 34 years of service. Elizabeth was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed needlework, gardening, watercolor painting, walking and Braves Baseball. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Herbert Cecil Armor; her husbands, Leon Parker and Arnold Adair; and one stepson, Hoyt Adair.
She is survived by her sister, Nellie Dale Armor McCulloch and brother-in-law, James Thomas McCulloch; one sister-in-law, Rosalind Johnson Armor; three nieces, Linda Nell McCulloch, Jan Armor Hudson and Marie McCulloch Mitchell; two nephews, Herbert Charles Armor and Dr. Thomas Harvey McCulloch; one stepdaughter, Rosemary Adair Brewer (Gaines); one stepdaughter-in-law, Frannie Adair; one step-son, Gene Adair (Brenda); several great-nieces, great-nephews, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mr. Keith Coan, Mr. Curtis Cole, Mr. Lee Brewer, Mr. Clinton Hardin, Mr. Phillip Hudson and Mr. Hunter Hudson.
